"Camera & Equipment"

This module not only covers the Camera choices but also discusses the use of Green Screen, Lighting and Microphones

Whatever camera you are filming with, you will need to consider lighting, maybe using a green screen and especially which Microphone you are using.

Even though we are talking about Video, the Audio component makes the biggest difference between your video appearing Amateur or Professional.

I will not ignore those of you that already own DSLR cameras.

Wide establishing shots

Never have too much B roll - different types of shots for the same thing

Rule of thirds - composition - grid on view finder

White balance on iPhone settings

Ask someone to send you pictures of the location if you can’t get there yourself.

Be aware of the audio characteristics of the filming location. If you need audio of the location, best not to relax on the iPhone's microphone get some audio with an external audio recorder - maybe this is the one thing that I highly suggest you purchase. It will make all the difference.

You can match the audio in post - I will use the Zoom H1 as an external recorder example.

All modules discuss Know your audience” at the beginning of the module to ensure each student understands how to find their "Potential audience"

"Questions to ask yourself
